Said to be older than the advent of the written word, beer has been present in nearly every culture on earth. Developed around the same time as the wheel – the first benchmark of modern society, beer has proven to be at least as pervasive and sustainable as the wheel itself. Today, beer is a commonality among all people. Producer/Writer/Director (Documentary Production, Fall 2006)

This is a video that I worked on with Lauren Demko, Will Creighton and Mike Shubbuck in Wildlife and Environmental Film Production. It looks at the effects of long-abandoned coal mines in Pennsylvania and the acid mine water that is leaking from them. The water seeps into surrounding streams and rivers, leaving behind a lifeless network of freshwater draining into the Chesapeake Bay. While many watersheds are affected by AMD, few have been as successful as Babb Creek in their clean-up efforts.
